1982年获武汉大学微生物学学士学位,1985年获武汉大学病毒学硕士学位,1992获美国爱达华大学生物化学博士学位,1993~1996年为美国普林斯顿大学博士后。曾先后在中科院微生物所田波院士实验室(代培研究生)、美国佐先愿模械听表许端列吸治亚大学Miller院士热实和经脱临频村意实验室(访问研究员)、美国普林斯顿大学美国微生物学院院士Newton教授实验室(研究员)、美国多瑞玛斯研究所(资深研究员)、美国塞普特药物公司(顾问)、美国国防部海军健康研究中心分子生物学实验室(主任)做科研工作。
