果蝇的生物多样性，动物地理学和进化遗传学;主要对亚洲及东南亚地区产果对具向发端民写蝇进行区系分类学研究，探索地理分布与地质变迁的相互关系;利用分子遗传学方面的信息，对其进行系统发育分析，研究果蝇在亚洲东部及东南亚地区的适应辐射机制和进化生物学特点，修订和重建自然分类体系。
