Francine Jacobs, Ed.D., is Associate Professor at Tufts University, with a joint appointment in the E来自liot-Pearson Department of Child Development and the Departme360百科nt of Urban and Environmental Policy and P自层lanning, of which she is currently Chairperson. Her research and teachi定协病排她规销帮ng interests are p歌看员门题方过娘复思脸rimarily i化保啊跑型达n the area of child and family policy素秋短牛左格尔又口--child welfare a都布使弦雨背川考始nd protection, child care and early childhood education, family support, and community-based initiatives--and in program evaluation. During her time at Tufts案风赶期脸两朝效降延独, she ahs been the principal investigator for numerous grants, with projects ranging from coordinating an early childhood community planning process in Boston to developing an evaluation process for state family preservation programs. Her current project is a multiyea衣川县律r evaluation of a universal home visiting program for teen 振文轻即操吸mothers, Health Families Massachusetts. In addition to her teaching and research, she serves on several advisory committees for child and family service organizations and research studiesand 吃季白了was recently appointed to the National Academy of Sciences' C行括弱顶也要战觉么ommittee on Family and Wor损赵扩点细出音六k Policies. She gr感速航aduate from Brandeis University and received her master's and doctoral degrees f防超树台终群rom Harvard University. Pior to joining the Tufts faculty 振做兴in 1986, she directed two early childhood programs and was the assoc轻线也年须iate director 钟政远安负缩交and director of research at the 出三联服派市Harvard Family Research Project. She also maintained an active program evaluation practice, consulting for numerous organizations on the planning and conduct of evaluation activities. She has lectured and written extensively about program evaluation and about chi胜读言赶罗被客式题运ld and family policy. Her two coedited volumes, "Evaluating Family Program" and "More Than Kissing Babies: Current Child and Family Policy in the United States," focus on these areas.
