李六乙,四川成都人,北京人民艺术剧院导演、剧作家。 纯粹和探索是李六乙艺术实践的特色,由此自由驰骋于话剧、戏曲、 歌剧 、舞剧等领域。

李六乙的戏剧艺术,形式中流淌着深厚的中、西文化泉源,法古而不泥于古; 又传递出浓浓的先锋 潮 汐 信 息 , 先锋而不泯先锋--是有古人和今人,尤有自己的一种岿然独有的"有意味的形式"(李泽厚)的新戏剧 -- " 纯粹戏剧 " (Puredrama)。

他的作品有中国古典精英艺术和当代西方先锋艺术天然汇融于氍毹奥堂的人性灵光:在他的艺术实践中,中国文化中的一支秀木--中国戏曲,既不矜夸为国粹而不可动摇修补,亦不将西方文化中的风向潮流,浮慕为绝对主流随波趋涌。他作品的形式浸润并且传递出非常自然的人的"自我"意识--创造性意识和开 放 性 意 识。 是 中 、 西 两 种文化跨越地域和观念,超越自身屏障的一种包容性的"合而不同"的"跨文化"(cross-cultural)对话新径--一种全新时代的剧场艺术。

李六乙李六乙李六乙,北京人民艺术剧院导演、编剧。他提出的"纯粹戏剧"理论与其践行的戏剧探索被誉为"李六乙方法",受到广泛赞誉及研究。李六乙不断与各领域优秀的艺术家合作,他的作品应邀到众多国际艺术节亮相,并委约创作。他被誉为亚洲顶尖的现代派导演。

李六乙是中国当代最具国际影响力的戏剧导演。日本现代戏剧大师铃木忠治称其为"新世纪亚洲最具影响力的舞台艺术家"。日本学者称其为"未来二十年中国戏剧的领军人,亚洲戏剧的代表"。戏剧评论家童道明先生称其为"一个真正懂得中国戏曲艺术的话剧导演"。他执导的话剧《北京人》被誉为北京人民艺术剧院继《茶馆》和《狗儿爷涅盘》之后"第三个里程碑"作品。

李六乙出生在戏曲世家,根植于中国戏曲艺术,在中国艺术研究院戏曲研究所潜心研究八年戏曲。执导过昆曲、京剧、川剧、豫剧、评剧、吕剧、柳琴戏、眉户剧等富有中国地域特色的多个剧种。被誉为"比其他同行更清醒地窥见了戏曲骨子里的现代性,并把中国戏曲原本就有的现代精神发扬光大。"

李六乙已执导近五十部作品,涉及戏曲、话剧、歌剧、音乐剧、芭蕾舞剧、现代舞剧。应邀在众多国际艺术节演出并委约创作。应"2009年欧洲文化之都"之约,为奥地利林茨歌剧院执导歌剧《The Land of Smiles》,成为进入欧洲主流歌剧领域的首位中国戏剧导演。为荷兰艺术节开幕式演出"新戏剧"女性三部曲,并接受荷兰女王接见。

李六乙也是一位具有持久文学创作能力的剧作家,先后创作小剧场三部作品《雨过天晴》《非常麻将》《夜半歌声》;"新戏剧"女性三部曲《穆桂英》《花木兰》《梁红玉》;著有《再见鲁迅》《2003》《逝水》;根据老舍先生同名小说改编的《我这一辈子》;钱钟书先生同名小说改编的《围城》;费牧先生同名电影改编的《小城之春》;汤显祖同名昆曲改编的芭蕾舞剧《牡丹亭》等。其著作《李六乙纯粹戏剧·剧本集》由人民文学出版社出版,并译成多种文字出版发行。

Li Liuyi, director and playwright of Beijing People's Art Theatre , is the most influential Chinese drama director in the world today . His theory "Pure Drama"and his related exploration in the field are known as "Li Liuyi Methodology" , which is widely acclaimed and researched. Chinese famous scholar Tong Daoming praised him as "a drama director who genuinely understands the art of Chinese drama". Japanese modern theater master Tadashi Suzuki calls him " The most influential stage artist of Asia in the new century " . Japanese scholars regard him as " the leader of Chinese drama in the next two decades, the representative of Asian drama" .The Drama Peking man directed by him has been crowned "the third milestone" of Beijing People's Art Theatre.

Director Li Liuyi was born into an opera family. He did researches in the Chinese National Academy of Arts for eight years. He has directed numerous genres of drama with distinguish regional characteristics, including Kunqu Opera, Peking Opera, Sichuan Opera, HenanOpera, PingjuOpera, LiuOpera, Liuqin tune and Meihu Opera. His success brought him the appraisal-more keen than his peers in catching the modemity of traditional dramas,and developing it into a new high level.

LiLiuyi has directed more than 50 works, the types of which include traditional drama, modern drama, opera, musicals, ballet and modern dance. He was invited to international art festivals and commissioned for creation. He was once invited by the City of Linz- the European Capital of Culture in 2009 - to direct the opera The Land of Smiles in Linz State Theatre , he became the first Chinese director setting foot in the world of mainstream European opera . Li directed and put the "Heroine" trilogy on stage for the opening ceremony of Holland Festival and he has the honor of being received by the Queen of the Netherlands.

Li Liuyi cooperated with the National Ballet of China , adapted and directed the ballet The Peony Pavilion . The ballet was invited as one of the opening performances in the Edinburgh International Festival , which marked an important breakthrough as it symbolized that China's top performing art has begun to be staged in mainstream European art festivals . Li was also invited to attend the London International Festival with the Chinese drama One Table , Two chairs , both directed and written by himself.

Li Liuyi is a playwright with lasting literary creativity . His works of drama include : three small theatre works -- Blue Sky After Rain , Mahjong , and Songat Midnight ; the "Heroine" Trilogy Mu Guiying , Hua Mulan , Liang Hongyu ; See Lu Xun Again , 2003 , Time Passed by ; The Life of a Peking Policeman ( adapted from Lao She's novel ) ; Fortress Besieged ( adapted from Qian Zhongshu's novel ) ; Spring in a Small Town ( adapted from Fei Mu's film ) ; Ballet The Peony Pavilion ( adapted from Tang Xianzu's Kunqun Opera ) . His book LiLiuyi' s Pure Drama · Collection of Dramas has been published by the People's Literature Publishing House in China , translated into many languages and published worldwide . LiLiuyi's Pure Drama · Theories is going to be published soon.

In 2012 , Li Liuyi launched the drama project "Li Liuyi · China Made " . The project includes three works of ancient Greek tragedy , Antigone , Oedipus the King , and Prometheus Bound , and the Chinese epic King Gesar ( Ⅰ , Ⅱ and Ⅲ ) . The contemporary relevance of the above six works will be discussed in this project for the purpose of practicing and exploring the art of drama in a multicultural and international perspective . With seriousness , sincerity , and pithiness , the studio will return to "human beings" and reexamine the history . By assuming the responsibility of being a practitioner of drama , the studio will also promote culture exchange and facilitate the communication between the east and the west , so as to convey the experience of life and extend the idea of drama . Antigone and Oedipus the King have been performed in public . Prometheus Bound will be launched early next year in 2015 .
